Updates

May 25, 2002 - South Sound Speedway

The Twin Motor Sports racing crew was hoping that the girls could keep the cars in one piece for their third race of the season so they could run Yakima Speedway the next day. The evening started out good with Amber qualifying 5th with a 14.72 and Angela in 11th with a 15.03. Amber was feeling good about the first race with a six car invert, which would put her on the front row outside. But Amber's day would end in disappointment, on the first lap, Mike Olson in the #10 car got into the #8 car of Roger Drake, pushing him into Amber in her MILGARD MANUFACTURING car on the outside and breaking the lower control arm. Meanwhile, Angela in the #35 car, was just cruising along when the #11 car of Jimmy McVey, tagged the outside wall and came back down spinning Angela around and breaking the right front shock sending her to the pits for repairs. By this time both Amber and Angela felt their luck had to turn around.

Starting the second 50 lap main in 11th and 12th, Angela immediately showed that her TRANS TECH car was good, moving all the way up to the 4th spot behind Nick Behn in his #21 car, having trouble getting around Nick, let Bob Presley in the #17 car get on the outside of her and with the white flag coming out, Angela tried to put the throttle down too soon coming out of turn 4, and sent the TRANS TECH ELECTRIC car spinning into the infield. Needless to say, Angela was not in a talkative mood when she came off the race track. Amber, in the MILGARD MANUFACTURING car had brake troubles all night long and was in and out of the pits.
