Jul 07, 2002 - Tri-City Raceway

The temperatures were hot for qualifying and so was Angela in her TRANS TECH ELECTRIC Chevrolet Monte Carlo as she qualified with the fast time of the day with a 14.71, 1/10th faster than the 2nd place car, awesome job Angela! Amber also qualified well in her MILGARD MANUFACTURING Chevrolet Monte Carlo car, qualifying 5th with a 14.84.

The first 50 lap main began at 7:36 PM with a six car invert; Angela is in 6th and Amber is in 2nd place starting position. Angela immediately radio's in that she is having difficulty steering the car and can't keep the car on the bottom of the track but continues to drive the car and moves up into 4th. On lap 30, the #34 car drops oil on the track in front of Angela in turn 3 and sends her spinning into the wall. The damage to the TRANS TECH ELECTRIC car was to sever to fix putting us out for the night. Meanwhile, Amber in her MILGARD MANUFACTURING car started the first heat with some bumping and grinding! On lap 2, Amber washed up the race track in turn 1 and is hit hard by the #21 car driven by Nick Behn moving her back to 5th position with minor damage to her car. By lap 38, Amber is in 9th battling with the #34 and #2 car. Finally, on lap 46, Amber makes a good move on the #2 car in turn 4 and in turn 1 surprises the #34 car, driving down low going into turn 2, the #34 car comes down on her and takes them both spinning up the track where Amber slams into the wall putting the MILGARD MANUFACTURING car out of the race for the night due to sever damage.
