Jun 21, 2003 - Yakima Speedway
We got on the track early on Saturday morning (our typical routine for Yakima), to try and get some laps in. It went really well for Angela's car, but unfortunately, had some problems with Amber's car being to loose.
As qualifying rolled around, Amber went out and slammed a 19.48 putting her 7th and Angela with a 19.62 in the 10th spot.
Race time came at 10:30, a late one, with 16 cars on the starting grid with the temperatures dropping below normal, it was a chilly night for Yakima Speedway! On the first lap going for green, Angela was on the outside of Brian Weiner the 69 car, looked like he locked up the brakes, and took Angela off the track. Amber maintaining her position continued on, with Angela in the pits checking the car out. After coming back on the track for approximately 30 laps, Angela pulled behind the wall with a broken "spring bucket". Amber continued in the race passing lapped cars and finishing in 5th position.
