Oct 14, 2005 - NORTH CAROLINA
We just thought we would write a quick little message to let our fans know whats been going on back here. We are farely busy trying to put things together to find money to go racing. We both had tested in a cup car last August when we first moved down here which went really well. We went to Hickory which is a 3/8 race track, so it really wasent nothing big, but it got us seat time and we were able to adjust to the heavier car and a lot more horsepower. There are pictures of the cup car in our gallery. The transition from going to our late model car to this cup car was pretty amazing! Our dad had flew down for this test which was great, i think he was just as excited as we were.
As of right now Amber and I have part time jobs giving us something to do during the weekdays. Uncle Derrike is currently working very hard trying to find some money so that we can go racing. Dad just built a Hooters cup motor which was shipped back here to North Carolina about a month ago so we have some guys currently working very hard on trying to get the motor put in the car and get it race ready so that we can start doing some testing. As of for the rest of the year our goals are to hopefully start testing in the Hooters cup car and get some seat time. Then we have a big test in December in an ARCA car at Daytona to try and get approved to run on the big tracks. So Amber and i are very anxious about this, so we will keep our fingers crossed and keep plugging along and hopefully something good will happen! We will keep you guys more updated as things progress.
